St Andrews Bay Hotel
Don & Nancy Panoz of Château Élan Hotels & Resorts discovered a breathtaking cliff-top location overlooking the legendary Home of Golf and opened the St. Andrews Bay Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa in summer 2001. It was named The Scottish Hotel of the Year 2005. Cosmo tiling products are used extensively in the hotel's reception hall and within the spa areas - the spa suite comprises 18 metre indoor swimming pool, separate children's splash pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam-room and snail shower with spacious male and female locker rooms. | A project that aimed to help to create a sumptuous, luxurious feel, the predominant tile used was called Chromwork, a tile from a manufacturer called Floorgres. The tiles used were supplied in a very large format (90x45cm), a size which is becoming increasingly popular. The chromwork tile creates random and infinite colour contrasts due to the colours involved in the range. It is also modular - two sizes can be used to create a pattern with no calibration issues. |
